Pretty good bang for the buck.

This thoroughly reviewed overdrive pedal delivers pretty nice overdriven tones from your amp.

However, if you already have a very high-end (think "boutique") tube amp, you won't find it that helpful to your tone, with the exception of helping thin sounding guitars, like Stratocasters and Telecasters to sound a bit thicker for lead tones. Other than that, I really can't tell much difference in the high-gain tones emanating from my VHT Pitbull amp.

Having said this, I'm not saying it's not a great product-- it certainly IS. But I would recommend it MORE, for those who have relatively clean, un-versatile, or less epensive amps that don't have the gain or tonal spectrum of available tones like a VHT / Freyette amp would have. In that set-up, the Mojo-Mojo would greatly enhance lead and heavy rhythm tones with the single press of a switch.

So Rock on!!

Kinda tame.

I have everything set at 12 o clock and it's not doing a lot for my already boosted tone. I'm going to try it maxed out and see if I can get a suitable scream out of it. Kinda JoJo more than Mojo.

Nice tones

The sound of an effects pedal is very subjective - of course - but I like this OD a lot.
The two tone controls and the voice switch give plenty of room to sculpt the sound, but in a mild, controlled way. There aren't any extreme tone settings available here. Everything is in the usual range, somewhat subtle, all useable, from bite to smooth.
The "drive" ranges from clean boost to an overdriven tube amp sound. Again all very useable.
I tried this pedal with a range of solid body and hollow body guitars. Single coil and humbucker. In all cases the character of the guitar came through. The pedal definitely gave drive and power, but didn't wash over the sound of the guitar.

Has some nice qualities

Has less midrange compared to tube screamer type overdrives. It kind of fattens up bass and treble, but it is not "scooped". So it has its use in fattening up tone without making the midrange prominent which can be nice in some applications.Read full review

Professional guitar player with 30 years experience. Great pedal!

Small footprint, easy to set up, great tone, very good harmonics. This pedal is a great addition to your pedal board. If you want to keep your clean tone and add smooth overdrive than this is your pedal. Great prices on this pedal right now! Don't let that fool you it's a good pedal.Read full review

Marshall in a tiny box

This is one of my favorite TC Electronic pedals, you can put this into a Fender clean amp and get a Marshall sound just like that, (I use it with my Deluxe Reverb and its like having a two channel amp). The pedal is analog so the battery last a good long time, and as with all my TC Electronic pedals its built like a tank.Read full review

Mojomojo

Versatile pedal. Very high quality .. expect clean/ bluesy up to 70s rock type tones . Very volume and pic attack sensitive. Easily on par with 150 dollar boutique pedals imo.

I got the blues this morning

I like this pedal, its a nice overdrive that works well as a full overdrive or a bit of a boost, perfect for blues and rock overdrive, good for lovers of SRV etc. Separate tone knobs are a nice addition. I dont think this is too transparent nor is it too saturated, its just right, works nicely with a Les Paul also but I think a Strat is really what its for. And still I believe the name Mojomojo says it all, a blues pedal.Read full review

flexible twist on the tube screamer

like it a lot! What is not likable is the big screw on the bottom to access the battery. Nevertheless, a very good unit for the digits. Saw a rig rundown about it on a popular online magazine where Paul Gilbert had demo'd it on his pedalboard running through his 1959 model Marshalls. I recommend it!Read full review

Great sounding pedal for the price.

This is a low distortion pedal so not for heavy rock. Sounds great on a strat to get that clean individual notes but chords and heavy strumming gets the overdrive sound. It's not weak if you turn up the drive setting. Quite versatile and different to other distortion/OD pedals. I like it a lotRead full review

Worth so much more

I really like this pedal. I don't play metal or much fusion. A lot of Blues, a bunch of Santana, SURF and Classic Rock. This pedal is a warm, easy to set up (get it right in the mix) and sounds great.

It also stacks exceptionally great! With other drive pedals, and to give a little more of a modern sound to the SURF I play. I can crank the reverb and delay, hit the MojoMojo when I want some, well, MOJO!

And the price is stupid low. Well made. I'll be buying another one for the pedal board I keep out of state. I play gigs in Ohio, but also a lot of gigs in Florida. I keep a full rig there, including a pedal board.

If you're looking for a Metal or Grunge pedal, this isn't the one. But if you want to add some great sounding OD/Gain/Distortion, with a TON of tone control, this is the one! 2 ways to control your tone. Both are great.
