This scanner has worked on several cars; Isuzu pickup, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Matrix, Ford Transit, and had read and cleared the codes. It has diagnosed airbag (SRS) and ABS brake issues, and cleared the codes when the faults were repaired. A good piece of equipment for the backyard mechanic or just reading more info about the codes.

While this is not something that a skilled auto technician might use, it is great for the backyard mechanic. I bought this rather than the next level up as it has free software upgrades for life while more expensive models require an annual fee for the upgrades. There are multiple how-to videos on You-Tube and probably others. This is a great place to learn the basics as there is only the on-screen guidance to use and you do have to understand what you are doing to follow those.Read full review

I really like it, the built quality is good, it feels solid and shock proof, the screen is good and bright and the system is snapy, I used it on a 2008 dodge grand caravan it scans engine, airbag, abs, and inboard systems like switches and stuff, (it doesn't scan the transmission cause apparently 2008 caravan has no transmission ecu), I highly recommend it.Read full review
