This is a lightweight tripod for those needing to be lightweight. It wouldn't be great in heavy winds, but this will get the job done for outdoor adventurists and hobbyists. I am a long distance hiker and every gram counts. This is a snap to deploy and use, takes up little room and does the job.

Perfect Ultralight Tripod

I am an ultralight backpacker with one exception; I carry my Canon EOS 60D. I normally carry a 1 pound tripod and this one will allow me to shave close to 1/2 a pound off. The quick release is cool and the head does a good job of locking the camera movement.
