The Big Short (Blu-ray, 2015)

This movie is a classic. It’s highly entertaining. It’s historically accurate. It has an all star cast. The book was written by one of the best financial riders around. I watch this movie about three times a year. It’s even highly educational. I know someone whose son watched the movie, and he got so motivated his grades went from barely passing in a technical school, to switching schools and getting A’s after taking accounting and financial classes as a business major. I like how this movie comes in a DVD, and then there’s also a separate Blu-ray disc, so it’s two movie copies in the price of one.Read full review

You need to watch it twice!

Even though I already knew the outcome of this film, the story was engaging as were the characters, who in most cases were real life people.
Very nicely spells out what went wrong with the housing market, and is a strong cautionary tale for future potential problems.
Bale, Carrell, Gosling and Pitt each turned in fantastic performances. Nobody was really the "star" but they all shined brightly. Read full review
