Not bad for being 8 years old!
For being 8 years old, the unit still has plenty of features. It’s the only type of equipment that can work with our antiquated cable service, so I am quite happy with it.

Not what i exspected
i had gotten a new one years ago and it brought you right to tivo central which in turn connected you right away and then you proceeded to put your information in. This one did not, it went into guided set up, and would not let you go to tivo central and any given time. I would of been able to manually put information in and connected to tivo. The package was torn up so i don't know if that may have something to do with it.Read full review

TiVo refuses to connect to my WiFi
Buyer beware that although TiVo says it can connect to WiFi, no current Tivo model can connect to Hotspot WiFi. It's no wonder that Tivo lost 30,000 subscriptions last year. More and more people are simply using their cell phones for their home WiFi but Tivo refuses to get with the program. Even their latest Roamio model cannot connect to modern Hotspot WiFi. Tivo is quickly becoming a dinosaur because it refuses to keep pace with current technology. The only reason I gave a 4 star review is because a neighbor kindly gave me their WiFi password so that I am able to use my Tivo model.Read full review

Upgrading to Tivo Premier
My Tivo was about 10 years old, so finding this version with the included Lifetime subscription was great! Now I can record 2 shows at the same time and have LOTS of space for the shows that I record and have not watched yet.

Had many issues getting this item set up. But after a month and many calls to TiVo finally got it up and running. TiVo is worthless in customer service. The seller tried his best for awhile but then gave up frustrated when I wanted to return it after 2 weeks of nightmares trying to hookup with TiVo. Good Receiver, Bad Wifi adapter.
The Receiver works just fine but the adapter was glued to the top of the Receiver and got smashed. It does not work. I had to take the Adapter from my other Tivo Receiver to get the unit to work..

Terrific product. If your a avid TiVo users this comes with the new and early original easy to use menus. Mine also had a lifetime subscription, which replaced my broken TiVo with a lifetime subscription as this was the only way to have continuity.Read full review
