This is the second Top field recorder I have bought and it performs as expected of the brand. Easy to set up and program, it actually improved the picture quality compared to the TV tuner. The only,slight, disappointment is the lack of a a display clock,but it does show the channel when it is recording. Glitches right from the start

I love Topfield products, but this is my second one since the company went under. The first I bought for $30 and expected very little. It lasted a few months. This one I paid a little more for and it has lasted about two weeks. Constantly freezing...and now it just won't turn on. There are not many of these things out there these days. I'll see if I can fin a reconditioned Beyonwiz for my next one.Read full review

Topfield TRF2200

We already had one of these units and it worked well albeit that it sometimes needs to be unplugged and turned back on before it will wake up. slightly annoying but generally speaking it works well. <br>The remote stopped working after 4 years, I was going to just buy another remote but a bit of research led me to beleive that as often as not the box was the problem not the remote handpiece.
We purchased a reconditioned unit, tested it and it works well. I then tried the remote from that unit on our old set top box and it works. So I could have just bought a replacement remote. Never mind. I now have two units but only one remote.
I like the Topfield TRF2200 it can record two chanells of different theme and also has a record now function, that can be set for a specified time. The playback is as clear as live TV the EPG is much better than the inbuilt on the TV.

Works for me.

Even though this is an older model that has been factory reconditioned, it still has all the features of most of the current PVR Set Top Boxes. I purchased it to use with my '2nd' TV and it works perfectly. Great price as well.Read full review

Compact well priced with all the necessary features.and easy to use.

Have not had any problems with it so far but have only had it for a week. Does everything it says effectively and with ease works very well. Stared off very good everything worked as it should, couple months later it all started to fall apart records at wrong time or not at all, wrong titles can't easily extend record time those are he things off the top of my head.Read full review

Inexpensive PVR

I purchased this model solely for recording TV programs on hard drive and in High Definition.

Bargain

At the price it cannot be faulted. Works fine is neat & compact. Only drawback to 5 stars is that there is no instruction manual. Even a basic "get started" booklet would be good.

Handy and easy to use
