Don't let the title turn you off thinking it's a sports movie. This is much more a Dad and daughter relationship movie. Clint is excellent as a bitter, yet misunderstood old man and Amy Adams plays the wounded daughter to a tee. Well worth watching more than once.Read full review

Baseball or family relations ?

It is a story about aging and children with a busy life of their own . We have our priorities , but how do we adapt ? Amy Adams was actually 38 when she said she was 33 years old , but women are known to do that , and the way she looks , that's fine by me . And finally , the pearl is before our eyes , but we never look there .
