Case was an issue

I couldn't wait to get this lens and go shooting. I normally like to use the original cases for large lenses but this one had a flaw.....missing some teach that prevented the case from zipping all the way up. Still waiting for the replacement case....and waiting....and waiting.Read full review

by TOP CRITICAL REVIEW

get it as cheap as you can...

It is a cheaply built lens. Typical Chinese quality but ok if you can get for @ $100 bucks. Comes in various brand names and in either black or white depemding on your preference. The tripod mount is a sloppy fit as is the "zoom" tube which is merely an extention tube built on to the lens with "indications" of focal length. Made out of aluminium, it is fairly sturdy built and if you can overcome the play in the mount and zoom tube, it's a good lens to "beat up" in the field. If you drop it or damage it somehow you aren't out a huge amount. Picture quality is passible if you have enough light and a sturdy tripod. This lens is capable of a lot of magnification so you will need a lot of light and fast shutter speed to prevent shake in your image. The "T2"mount accepts all makes. If you already have a T mount for your camera and a 2X, then you got it made. Just get the cheapest one you find. No need otherwise to get "the options". That pretty much sums up this lens. If you find its not up to your standards, it doubles as a club to beat out your frustrations with.😅📹
HAPPY SHOOTING!!!📹📷🎥😆

Great lens, but has one serious flaw

The lens takes really good photos. The problem is that the lens will not accept Lens Filters. It is advertised as a 95mm lens. Yet the 95mm lens filters are too small. They just fall through the lens hood. I tried 105mm filters and they are too big. The lens hood is permanently attached and cannot be removed. The hood is threaded for a filter, but I cannot find one to fit it. Read full review

Not the greatest deal..

Not a real clear picture and difficult to maneuver if you dont have a tripod.

Vivitar MZ-5000

Seems great looking out the door. Now get this global Coronavirus over and go out and see what she’ll really do.
