WORX WG169E.5 Cordless Grass Trimmer

Little trimmer

After using a petrol trimmer for 40 years, at first this "flimsy" & like a toy trimmer. However it does the job just as well. It is incredibly well designed & gives flexibility & options you won't get from line trimmers 3 times the cost. The price is very competitive, particularly compared with other cordless trimmers. I'm still trying to get used to the auto line feed which makes it hard to tell how much line is being "chewed up". Initially I bought 1/2 dozen replacement spools but it will ultimately be more cost effective to reload the spools myself. If you want a back up battery they're not cheap but I suspect that would be unnecessary unless you have a lot of edges & a big yard..Read full review

Disappointed! :(

It was well made and designed but I don't think the line spool is big enough, the line thick enough and can't handle anything other than soft grass. As a mini-mower, on a small patch of soft grass it was okay. As an edger it just didn't seem strong enough. I have had an electric whipper-snipper for many years and it eats the jobs that the WORX can't handle. If I was able to "test drive" it before I bought it...I would not have bought it!Read full review

Worx Cordless Trimmer

My wife has used Worx Trimmers for years now. They are light and easy for a lady to use. We have now purchased the latest one using the new 20v lithium battery. She finds it even better than previous Worx Trimmers and would recommend it to others, particularly the ladies who like to do all types of path and garden edging, and find the larger whipper snippers as heavy and cumbersome.

The WORX Cordless Trimmer/ edger is easy to use, easy to adjust and does a good job. The battery seems to last well. It is light, easy to transport around the yard, folds for easy storage. Probably the best line trimmer for a suburban block at the moment. Love the wheels. Makes lawn edging a breeze.
