I use a peeler every day. My previous 'Original Swiss Peeler' had a stainless steel handle but an iron blade which finally rusted at the ends and broke. The new peeler has a stainless steel blade which is encouraging but some grades of stainless steel do rust and corrode. Time will tell. Otherwise the unit the unit works very well.Read full review

I had the old version tempered steel, for 10 years & it rusted out at one end of the blade. Was excellent right tg up to the day it broke after 10 years of loyal service. The new s/s one cuts just as good as the old one did. Hope it lasts like the last one did.!Read full review
