Good product for the price. Well worth it.
After trying evaporative coolers that barely did anything, this provided me much relief in what was the hottest summer on record in Perth for 20 years.
The window duct was too short for my window though but I just cut out a piece of the cardbord box it came with and used sticky tape and blue tack to cover the rest and it works fine.
Has a weird smell at first but now after 3 months it's pretty much gone. Other reviews complain about the noise but I think it's fine. In fact it's helped me sleep at night as a source of white noise since I have noisy housemates.
My room is about 3x3 and it cools it well even on 40 degree days with a gaming computer in my room that contributes to the heat. IIRC it was about 27-32 degrees on my themometer for room temperature on really hot days that were about 40 degrees outside. Not optimal but still bearable and way better than evaporative.Read full review

Not such a good value for money, pay more and get better unit
First of all VERY NOISY, secondly pay more attention to window kit, if window is longer than the kit you will be in trouble. You will get no support for this item. My room is 5x4M does not cool well, ideal for 3x3M room. Unit should be $350 max for something like this. Sold mine back on gumtree for $100 les in a week.Read full review

Works fine so far, have had it for 3 months
Now that Summer has hit, mine is getting a good workout. The remote is good and it responds very well to anything you do on the remote. My room is probably slightly larger than usual for a aircon of this type for it to completely cool the whole room but if I put the swing to face me I find it cools very very well. Was skeptical at first about buying this unit, especially online but I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone. So far so good with this unit.Read full review

Product works well and was able to cool large lounge area to a very comfortable cool temperature on those 35 degree plus days. Works Great for 3x3 room in QLD heat!
Just got mine, Disregard these old reviews from previous models. Its extremely good value, This model works good for smaller 3x3 rooms especially in the hot QLD heat. Noise goes down alot after you leave it running for awhile. For the price this is WAY better than spending $600+ on a top tier brand. You need to still keep the water drained, although its self evaporating. Downside is it generates alot of water, so maybe after 2hrs of usage on a overly hot qld day it fills up a 2L bottle, the hotter it is outside the more water will accumulate which was the same as my last portable air con. I suggest finding some insulation to wrap the exhaust hose & use a large container to drain the water. Read full review

Very good for the price
I have a large lounge room and it cools it down nicely, plus the dinning area. Only one small problem, the exhaust connection at the back should be a better fit to stop the hot air from motor, I had to use a lot of tape to seal it.Read full review

Does not cool well
Cheap, loud, no adapter for sliding door or window. Had to make myself.
at 32'C, at full power it cools down room of 16-18sqm by ~5-7'C

Great Value & Quality
I've personally had both Olimpia Splendid and Levante Portable Air Conditioners. Both are great, however, they are upwards of twice the price of the Devanti.
The build quality is on par with the Olimpia Splendid and Levante, however, I do much prefer the Devanti's hose system.
The unit is a lot quieter than the Olimpia Splendid which tends to have quite an audible sound when the condenser kicks in.

Pros: Only fan functionality is up to mark.
Cons:
Heat: Takes forever to warm up the room, doesn't really heat up to satisfaction.
Cool: Makes hell of a racket and not much cooling.
