Worth it
Well worth the money spent. You can make a large number of small projects with the pieces.

A Great little Radio for the money
1 of 1 found this helpful I was a little skeptical about he radio do to the size and all. Other Hammers that I know said that they received a radio like it but were disappointed about the out put and quality. As for the QYT I feel that it will give you the best for the buck. It comes very close to what they say it will do in the manual. VHF states 25watts I got 23 on the occilloscope and 20watts on UHF i got the full 20. Mic audio was alittle low but very clear. mounting was easy. My best advise is to read the manual fulling and go by the specs that it states. I've been using it for 2 days now and haven't gotten totally used to it and all it's functions. Field programming is like programming the Baofeng UV-5R . So if you can program that you should have now problems. Please note Read the part were it states in the manual NOT to keep the unit on high power for a long period of time. I would advise the same the radio will get hot med-high works the best so far for me.

not what it seems
The antenna is built well but is a poor performer. Not really worth the money. Most Ht antennas can out performing it.
