Very bad manufacturing
1) Tried to put in the batteries, and one of the contacts on the (-) side of one of the batteries was missing the coil shaped metal. So I took the spring out of a ball point pen, cut it and made it fit the end of the battery to make proper contact.
2) The device worked OK a few times. After about an hour or so, it would only light for a few seconds and then turn off.
3) The sensor only works if you are within 2-3 inches of it. It doesn't sense movement when you first approach the device.
4) If I hold my hand 2 inches from the sensor the light works, and as soon as I move my hand away, it stops working.
5) This could have been a cute gift, or a great idea. If it worked. IT DOES NOT!

Extremely intelligent and valuable product. ABOUT TIME someone thought of this!
1 of 1 found this helpful I am in the process of turning all our homes into smart homes. Light switches, plugs, thermostats, etc. The only missing link was converting ceiling fans, fireplaces, remote controlled curtains and other remote controlled devices. I have ordered 4 BONDs so far. They are extremely easy to install, program, and operate. I have 2 items that I would put on a wish list, if I were to improve this product. 1) Allow the ability to name different BOND units when you have multiple units.Or allow for a drop down menu where you can have different homes and BONDs in each home. 2) Allow for more than 6 devices to be attached to each BOND. I have 6-7 fans, 3-4 fireplaces and other devices per home. So to fully automate, I need to purchase more than one BOND per home.
