This is true Damasus steel. Beware of Knives that appear to be and are advertised as but are merely "stamped" to look like Damasus steel.
It is exactly as described.They are beautiful and very well made. They come with a lifetime warranty because they will probably never have to replace them. If you just take of them as they recommend they probably will last.
