Playing on words with the famous Jonathan Swift satire novel.
A very funny movie with unsuspected angles.
Comedy about Hollywood's movie-machine shallowness in the forties.
And an insight about the remnants of the Great Depression that enhance the film from screwball comedy into tragedy back and forth.
Veronica Lake, out of the noir flicks surprise us as a first rate comedienne.
Check the dinner's scene when she meets McCrea for the first time.
A rare classic.

Gran versión con tempi acertados
y sabor húngaro frente a la historicista pero más fría interpretación de The Orchestra of Enlightentement dirigida por Sigiswald
Kuijken.
El disco tiene el plus de estar grabado en el palacio Esterhazy.

Neorrealismo poético japonés
Obra maestra de Yasujiro Ozu que nos muestra una familia cualquiera en el Japon que ya ha salido de la guerra y se mueve en una cierta normalidad.
Las relaciones entre padres e hijos y el contraste campo ciudad y guerra posguerra.
La historia se desliza entre el blanco y negro de los fotogramas hechizando lentamente al espectador.
Agridulce pero sin renunciar al sencillo pero profundo humor japonés.
Una maravilla.
Disfrutenla desde el prisma de la tranquilidad.
Mención aparte para la exquisita actriz Setsuko Hara.
