Turning Wool Into a Cottage Industry
I bought this book because it is an out of print classic by Paula Simmons, who really knows her way around fiber arts and wrote "Spinning and Weaving with Wool" which I also have and "Raising Sheep the Modern Way." It was written in 1985 and the recommendations on specific equipment are fairly out of date as a lot more choices are available now. What is valuable are the many ideas on diversifying and expanding a business based on fleece, plus the detailed information on different breeds, raising sheep, buying fleece, washing and processing fleece, and using fleece in various ways one may not have thought of. There is also a section featuring successful fiber entrepreneurs. This book counters the notion that you can't build a home crafts business - you can.

I Love This Movie
This was one of the iconic movies from my childhood. It was based on a play by the Hungarian Ferenc Molnar, called "Liliom," which means "tough guy" in Hungarian. The view of what Heaven is like, the struggles of the characters, the songs and the romance all appeal to me. Watching it again, I was reminded of all I loved about this movie when I was a child.

This is a great CD for those who, like me, love Scottish folksong
For those who love Scottish music, "Scottish Voices" is a great CD. I bought it because I had it and loved it in the past, but lost my CD while moving. Now I have it again! It features 14 different excellent singers performing classic Scottish folksongs, such as MacCrimmon's Lament and For A'that and A'that. My favorite on the CD is The Corncrake. I love this CD!
