A little beauty
I bought this radio for backup during power outage. It takes 4 AA batteries - good value.
Easy to tune, all controls are intuitively located, even in a blackout.
Power cord can be removed completely.
Large speaker in relation to size means excellent audio.

No mercy indeed - with occasonal glimpses of compassion.
This book is a page turner, it reads with the pace of a thriller. I found, apart from applying the behaviour of the unfortunate victims to one's co-workers (entertaining & unsettling), this collection delves into the dark night of the human soul and into the brightest shining of the best of humanity.
It is not a spoiler to point out that bullying, anarchism and brutality was the most common behaviour among stranded survivors. It is worth noting that of the survivors, the groups which cooperated, evenly shared resources, cared for the weaker members had the highest survival rate.
This is a must read for anyone with aspirations to power and edifying for the rest of us.
