Great expression pedal for bass
Great way to add new sound textures to your bass playing. Pedal is intuitive and easy to use. The term "Whammy" pedal is a little misleading for those who assume this would operate like a tremolo bar. This is actually a pitch shifter that you can modulate with the pedal for effect, but doesn't sound that well when using it that way. You either want the pedal flat down or all the way up depending on the tone you want to use for a particular section of the song. Otherwise, you can add some additional color by using a wah pedal in conjunction with it, which gives it some interesting effects. While I probably would not use for most live situations, it is a lot of fun to experiment and record with! For the price, it was worth it to have yet another tool in the box for some very unique sounds.

Excellent tone and ease of use
1 of 1 found this helpful Works great with all my different gear and has excellent sound. Its very easy to use and the Toneprint feature allows you to save your preferred settings. Only had for a short while, so I am still figuring out its limits. So far I am really liking this pedal... and for the price, I couldn't go wrong. I highly recommend it!

Greater starter board
I am new to using mixers and recording equipment and needed something easy to learn starting out with, but not something I would immediately outgrow. This unit fit the bill nicely as it has enough inputs for more ambitious home recording projects, but could also be used for live set ups for smaller bands. There are 6 XLR mic connections with extremely clear and quiet preamps. The first 4 channels include low cut adjustments and a single knob compression setting. The last 4 channels have stereo line level inputs and most importantly, it has a USB interface for DAW recording via computer. All the sliders and knobs are smooth and the onboard effects are subtle, but very good. Overall the quality of construction is excellent and it has just about all options you would typically have to pay much more for in other brands. Highly recommended, this is a great buy.
