Thoughts on the LG LT600P 5231JA2006B Refrigerator Water Filter
1 of 1 found this helpful After much research, I discovered that this is one of the best filters on the market for getting true "Clean", great tasting drinking water. We live out in the country on a well and it is important to us to filter out any unwanted metals or other distasteful contaminants that may get into our water supply. It came to my attention several years ago when we bought our house that even though lead solder was outlawed and banned for use by plummers, there were a fair amount of unconscientious individuals who would grab left over lead solder off of their work vans and use it anyway.. on the QT. Well, despite our house being "new", trace amounts of lead somehow managed to make it to our tap. All things considered, it was important to have clean water. We have an LG fridge and while trying to get a good price on filters (as they are flipping expensive!), I came across several reviews on off-brands that said they were a waste of money due to leaks, etc.. Not worth fooling around with. This LG filter #2006B is key as it filters out a higher percentage of "toxins" than the previous #2006A version.. All in all, our water tastes so much cleaner and better. Thanks LG! Worth the extra dollars to get the right filter.
