    1950 P D S SILVER ROOSEVELT DIME CHOICE BU+ SET KEY DATES JU501
    31 July 2019
    Solid supplier of beautiful dimes
Prior to this year I had not owned any mint sets for well over twenty years. I decided to acquire new ones this year, and purchased the sets offered by the United States Mint from 1959 through 2019, as well as the proof sets from 1955 to 2019 and silver proof sets from 1992 to 2019. Since that time I have been building choice to gem uncirculated mint sets, starting from 1958 and working backwards. I have built twelve completes sets covering the 1947 to 1958 years. purchased the 1950-1954 dimes from the same dealer, and he has supplied very nice coins for these sets. These coins in no way detract from the 14 or 15 coin sets of those years.
1956 Franklin Silver Half Dollar ~ BU Uncirculated ~ BLAST WHITE LUSTER!
    25 June 2019
1956 Franklin as part of a mint set of nine coins
You get off easy with 1956 when it comes to the half-dollar. Only one of the three mints produced this coin that year. The coin I purchased (to build a complete nine coin mint set for 1956), came with solid luster, minimal nicks and substantial bell lines. The half dollar is an important member of the set, and this coin fits nicely with the rest of the coins in the set, I am slowly working backwards on these, having every set from this year forward, and all from 1959 in the original government packaging. I prefer a coin with white luster to those toned (though some toned are very beautiful). This coin fit the bill.
Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH. Lens

First Lumix Prime and a Solid Buy
This is the first Panasonic Leica prime lens that I have purchased after already owning the 8-18, 12-60, 50-200 and 100-400 lenses. This lens is small, very small, and pairs quite nicely with my Lumix GX-8, and should easily pair with my G-9 as well. This lens offers a aperture ring, and it works quite well thus far, covering f/1.7 to f/16. I was looking for a moderately wide prime lens as I shoot landscape, cityscape and wildlife (the later not with this lens). The images are clean and sharp with solid color renderings in the short time I have had this lens. I had looked at the 12mm f/1.4 and this lens, and this one could be had for less than one half the price of the other lens, and is a good value for the price. If you want a walk a bout lens, pair this will a small to medium sized body and you will be good to go. I look forward to many years with this prime lens, with many fine images as we go along.
