Blast from the past
This was great entertainment for folks who could afford a TV.

Great light
I took down one 150W CFL bulb and replaced it with this one. I was amazed at the difference. The CFL gave off a yellow glow but the LED is daylight bright. Now I don't have to worry about tripping over something.

Slacker G2 Radio Experience
I purchased this radio because I like the Slacker.com radio stations. What I didn't find out until after I got the unit was the USB connection will not work with 64 Bit systems, which both my computers are. This device requires ICS to connect and my Windows Vista 64 system will not allow it to be turned on. After finding this out through a chat session they recommended I take it to a WiFi site. I went to three sites in the Pekin, Illinois area and couldn't connect from any of them. Another chat session with tech support I found that not all WiFi site connections are Slacker accessible and there's no way for the unit to tell you why or what is happening. However I did find a 32 bit machine and downloaded 21 stations to this device and it seems to work well. The battery life doesn't seem to hold a charge for long but that may be because I've only charged it once. Some of these rechargeable devices take several charges before their longevity improves. All in all I love this device, except for the lack of 64 bit support. It's nice to be able to listen to the music I like without commercial interruption. I may drop my XM radio account now since this costs as much for a year as XM does for 3 months.
Bottom line it's a great little device as long as you are aware of the technical restrictions. It works great with the right hardware. I think Slacker needs to put a WiFi hotspot list on their website that points out the points that work with their devices.
