Great alternative to Ipod, lots of features
Just got this today and it's very easy to use, fast setup, and updated firmware from samsung website quick and easy. Radio reception very crisp and clear. Battery came fully charged. Menu and touch screen easy to see, but sometimes tough to get to work. It may frustrate you, but just be accurate and slow with your movements and it will work. Alarm and calendar are great features to have. I would recommend this if you need an mp3 player and want something other than Ipod.

Excellent multipurpose lens
Using this on a D5100 I can tell you it's very sharp. I was using a 35mm 1.8g about 90% of the time, but now I need to start using a wider lens. I had sold my stock 18-55mm years ago since I only needed the 35mm, 50mm, 55-200mm. I forgot how amazing 18mm wide is. It folds up very nice to help with bag space. It's lightweight and the zoom is great. 95% of my shots are handheld and always on the move, so the VRII does a great job at keeping my shots clean. In my opinion it's worth the money for the newer features of the VRII over the VR and ED versions. Be sure to keep a Hoya SMC Japan UV filter on it and a Marumi DHG circular polarizer and you will be unstoppable!!!

New tech
Lightning fast in camera and when transferring files. Is recognized by my d5100, but has locked up after taking a picture 4/20 last photo shoots. Simple power cycle/reinsert card solved this. Also not read by my usb 2.0 card reader. Its a 52 in one PC kind , 3.5". Its not failed to save a picture once, even during freezing. Works great in my laptop card reader, much newer than pc. I can save 1,600 pictures in jpeg fine mode, 3,200 in normal and 6,300 in basic, all at 16mp. 473 in raw/fine. Way faster than my class 4-8gb card before, especially after taking a picture, saves picture fast and displays it quick. Also scrolling through in camera pics and on PC in card very fast. In camera I can burst really fast versus before. Not sure on video, camera maxes 20 min recording each time. So its a form factor SDHC card because of capacity, its class 10 speed, but also uhs-1, which is the high speed bus, and the u3 is the class grade with a minimum of 30mb/s, but you get much higher (40-60) I got mine for $15 free shipping here, 1600 shots is enough for each shoot for me and I didn't need extreme pro speed/price. Newest tech at the moment and future proofs me when I get a newer d810. Great for 4k video if you can shoot it. Sandusk cards have never let me down and this is the best bang for buck if you want quality, speed and newest tech.
