Realistic, true, gritty story of Hispanic gang life in the 1960's,
This is a very well written book telling a 'gritty' but interesting, true story of Mexican gangs in the 1960's in Los Angeles, CA. The author escaped gang life through his writing talent and government social programs, that have all but vanished. It was too late to save his son, who was imprisoned for gang related crime. I bought this as a gift for a friend after reading it in a Reading Development class in high school. We both have Hispanic origins and we could relate to the cultural references and vocabulary. There is a glossary in the back that translates the Spanish phrases. I am an adult, teaching assistant. I can tell you that it held the attention and interest of a diverse group of teenagers in the classroom.

Excellent movie about education and human relationships.
I bought this DVD because the movie is great. I bought it as a gift for my mom. My mother's favorite actress is Sandra Bullock and she had not seen it yet. Also, my mom is very interested in education. I think this movie, more than many other documentaries, shows what a student needs to succeed in education...even if disadvantaged.

Good hair product- it works.
This is a good product where you can use a little or a lot depending on your style needs. It works well for me just trying to control my stray hair & adds some nice volume to my thinning hair.
