Never been a better time to buy this camera for value.
4 of 4 found this helpful It's just great little camera overall. Feels well-built, responsive. Fits well between the big G and GH models and the tiny GM models. Has a great deal of manual control and customisation options. Works really well with my non-stabilised lenses like Olympus 75mm F/1.8, Samyang 7.5mm fish-eye, and SLR Magic 25mm T70.95 and Leica Panasonic 25mm F1.4.
I've experienced an occasional bug with the touch-screen being unresponsive, but turning the camera off/on fixes it. I also bought 2 extra batteries as the included one doesn't last as long as I'd like.
Image quality is great, really sharp. It's got nice grain at high ISO and the colors render well. It's a bit dated now in 2015 but only because it's been replaced by a newer GX8. That makes it really good value for money. The image Quality is equal to the GH4 and the GM1, GM5 etc.

It works, Mac OS too.
I needed a BluRay drive that could read my UHD BluRays on Mac OS. This does the job. Combined with MakeMKV, I can back up my discs by rippoing them and storing them on my Plex Media Server for easy viewing. I had to order a separate cabinet to install the drive into (form OWC/MacSales) which was an additional cost for me, but that's just how these thing work.

Excellent for the price
0 of 1 found this helpful I'm new to external flashes, so this is in no way a professional opinion. However I've been looking for a low budget alternative to the official models fra Panasonic/Olympus and this is amazing for the price. I'm very happy with the results I've been getting and it lives up to expectations. My only criticism would be that while there's a lot of included accessories like gels, diffusers, soft boxes etc. (good) there's little info on what to do with them (bad).
