Not Just Another Chick Flick
"Oscar and Lucinda" is a joy from beginning to end. As Oscar, Ralph Fiennes has never been more appealing, or more eccentric, than he is here, and the same can be said for Kate Blanchett's Lucinda. From the narrative style of storytelling, to the natural beauty of the Australian setting, to the hauntingly surreal imagery, "Oscar and Lucinda" will provide a delightful evening's entertainment for all but the youngest, or most prudish, family members; it can also work as a "date" vehicle equally well. Best of all, the deceptively simple storyline may well spur some genuinely deep, heartfelt discussions. Additionally, like "The Man Who Would Be King," there is enough epic-style adventure here to keep everyone entranced. I cannot recommend a more deeply satisfying film than "Oscar and Lucinda."

Lovely and Surprising
1 of 1 found this helpful The artwork is very nice, as I expected. The surprise, at least for me, is in the depth of the symbolism. While the illustrations and meanings all make sense, I still had to spend time with this deck and really look at the cards. Like the cats depicted, there are some subtleties here that bear more than a presumptive glance. Very, very nice tarot deck in every respect.

Love Everything But the Wigs
I love historical films and TV shows, and I especially like this series since it's based on fact. This is eighteenth century courtroom drama at it's best. The Brits know how to produce well-written, top-quality programs, and this is one of my favorites.
