Perfect Drop In Replacement for Older Suburbans
1 of 1 found this helpful Searched for a while to find an 8" shallow mount sub for my 2001 Suburban that didn't require saws or custom boxes or other modifications to either the speaker or my vehicle. This is the one!! It has dual 4ohm voice coils, so you need to connect the leads in parallel to drop it to 2ohm to match the factory amplifier output. Easy task. Then it just pops into the old sub's box. Easy replacement and it really sounds great.

A flavor all its own. Great pedal for the right player.
2 of 3 found this helpful My primary goal in shopping for an overdrive was transparency. I was looking for a pedal that took the original tone of my amp and simply added gain and boosted the signal a bit, but the key was that it not change the overall tone.
I heard several on line demos of the DLS and thought it sounded really nice. In fact it is a really solid overdrive pedal, but it isn't transparent. It definitely shifts the tonality of the original signal to something completetly different. Not "bad", just a different EQ structure. It seemed to thin out a bit, adding a great amount of high end to the original signal while providing the increased gain that I was looking for. I tried it for a short while and used it on a couple gigs, but in the final analysis, it was not my flavor.
So, for that reason only, I turned it around and sold it and continued shopping.
The pedal worked flawlessly, and had its own character, but didn't suit my taste.

Salad and MORE!!
Theses were advertised as "salad forks", but I've used them to eat meat as well. Generally anything you can stab and put in your mouth - or someone else's - these forks will do the trick. I've used them to eat anything from cake to potatoes (both mashed and baked). I've found casseroles to be quite suitable for these forks. I'm a huge spaghetti fan (anything Italian, really) and these forks can handle it!
FWIW, I also have the longer "dinner" forks and I've found them to be pretty much interchangeable with these smaller salad ones. And while we're on the subject, I've used the dinner forks to eat breakfast, brunch, lunch and other meals so don't let the name fool you. These are SERIOUS forks!!!
