Not fast enough
It still takes seconds to save the picture. Especially, using HDR mode. I have wait for a few seconds then take another picture.

Good for most purpose
0 of 1 found this helpful This speedlite is good for most situation and easy to set up remote with other flashes. GN is 58 that similar new Canon 600EX-RT GN 60 (60 meter with iso 100). I have three Canon 580 EX II. You must use diffuse while take picture for people.
I personal more like Quantum QFlash that provide studio result. The good thing you can use Canon 580 EX II trigger the QFlash by using an adapter and disable Canon 580 II. However QFlash a lot heavier than Canon 580 II.
I suggest that you should have at least two Canon 580 II when you shoot for better result.
