Great alternative to the masses of Canons
Sony have really carved out a niche for themselves in the DSLR market. The 5 series of the Alpha range provide all the tools a serious Pro-amateur needs, providing both auto and full manual controls.

Going Pro
I have been using a Nikon D7200 for some years and this was a logical step up into the world of full frame. The controls are a little more complicated than my D7200, particularly the lack of an auto setting for grab shots, however I am persevering and remembering all I learnt with my first Practika back in the 80’s and the pics are worth the effort.
