New old stock
1 of 1 found this helpful Rubber in the replacement tire sidewall was no longer elastic. Attempts to install the tire resulted in the sidewall splitting in several places. Using only bare hands I tore one sidewall off and with some difficulty was able to force the tire on to the hub.
Tire probably had been sitting on the shelf for years (decades?) and had lost the plasticizers that make elastic materials flexible
