Super fun set to spark interest in Tolkien!
My seven year old & I love love love this set because of all the unique features & cool minifigures. Only bummer is that, despite being brand new in an unopened box & bags, a few of the pieces snapped in two as we were assembling it (all the same brown color, which makes me wonder about the chemistry of LEGOS). Mention this only to caution first-time buyers of unopened sets that pieces may have gotten brittle in the unopened box & break during assembly.- wouldn't let that stop you from playing!
