ELAC B6 Debut speakers
I have owned dozens of speakers over the years; vintage and modern. These ELAC's , are, without a doubt, the undisputed performers in this price range. Superb reproducers, across many styles of music, and many output amps and receivers. At a list price slightly less than $280, these are a complete no brainer. I would suggest they compete well against speakers at least twice their cost Do your self a favor; just buy them!

DCM TF-600 speakers...your final upgrade?
DCM has made several excellent speakers (along with a few mediocre ones), over the past few decades. The DCM TF-600 model is superlative! These tall and thin reproducers have a unique ability to handle virtually any musical genre with aplomb...I've owned my pair for a few years now, and have paired them with numerous moderns and vintage amps/receivers (currently driven by a Yamaha M-70 amp; Yamaha C-70 preamp)...and every combination has been musical nirvana! An unusual combination of excellent (pinpoint, actually) imaging, large soundstage, and "holy cow...are the musicians here in the room with us??" presence. Wonderful speakers that sound as good as they look. I'd suggest it would be difficult (impossible?) to find better all-around speakers than the TF-600's, at this price point. Buy them!
