Dell 1545 laptop upgrade
The 10 9600 chip fit perfectly into my laptop. I only had to remove four screws to get the cover off and then another four screws to get the heat sink off. After cleaning the cat hair out of the heat sink radiator I said it aside pulled out the old chip and install the new one I had to scrape the old thermal paste off of the bottom of the heat sink so the new paste would make good contact. I didn’t have any paste it first so I installed the heat sink and put the cover back on to test how the chip worked. Everything booted up just fine and was very quick using windows 10 pro. The fan did still come on quite a bit even with all that cat hair out of the heat sink but not as much as before. When the thermal paste arrived I remove the cover and heat sink and applied the paste and put it all back together. Now the fan barely comes on at all. Very happy customer.
