I may be a software developer for modern devices -- but I love classic, vintage items and electronics. Especially anything video game related.

8Bitdo Zero Mini Wireless Bluetooth Game Controller Gamepad for IOS Android Mac

Tiny Marvel.
It's essentially a Super Nintendo controller, that uses Bluetooth and is key-chain sized.
The battery life is surprisingly long (8+ hours), and the device software is impressive at well. It can operate as a standard game-pad, map to keyboard buttons, or emulate an Xbox controller (perfect for Steam games that don't require every Xbox button).
The up and down can sometimes be a tiny bit finicky, and it can be a little difficult to use the shoulder buttons while performing other actions (due to it's diminutive size).
So, I wouldn't recommend it for precise platforming games (Super Meat Boy), or games that demand heavy use of the shoulder buttons (StarFox).
Overall though, this is a great, on-the-go, casual gaming controller that gives a ton of bang-for-the-buck.

NES Classic Controllers
Aside from the pins wearing out, everything about the original Nintendo was so solidly constructed -- including the controllers.
Even if the silicone, button contacts wear out, there are repair kits available to easily restore them.
