Overall good value

Longevity has yet to be tested but this is an inexpensive and easy alternative to HID so far. My complaints: The small harness (not the large dude that plugs into the OEM harness) is easily disconnected but I became glad of that because the harness may be reversible on purpose to fix high/low beam mismatch. On my 2000 Crown Victoria the high beams were on by default. When I turned the harness around (which mismatched the red/yellow wires) the high/low beam wiring was fixed. The center wire, black (ground), stays in the center regardless of harness orientation, so this may be by design in order to support several different types of OEM harnesses. My other gripe is that when installed the light seems too easy to push-in, twist, and remove. It's not water-tight like the original halogen-style bulbs...but maybe that's also by design. The headlamp assemblies are vented anyway so no big loss; again time will tell how they work out. Brightness seems well beyond what the halogen lights offer. There are actual tiny fans built into the base of each light that you can barely hear without the vehicle running. It's an interesting sound from a headlight and makes me wonder what happens if/when the fan fails... supposedly the unit is waterproof... hope so. So far, so good. Lots of light, great color, easy to install, great price.

Solves my problem

Purchased these to replace some incandescents that were always blowing out under my microwave. They are great when on full power, but when operating in "dim" or nighttime mode they have a high frequency flicker. Not unbearable, but noticeable and not something I would expect from a "dimmable" bulb.
