Arrived quickly, in numerous layers of packing, so nothing would have hurt those dried garbanzo beans. Item was just as described.

Triangle Truss Extension 5' Extra Span Trussing Segment Section Lighting Stand
19 October 2020
I guess Griffin's "many skilled employees" aren't paid enough to care about their jobs
I was rather disappointed when I unboxed this truss section and removed the bubblewrap to discover that one corner was nearly completely folded over onto the tube as shown in the photos. I chose to discount others' reviews and photos that shared similar tales of damage as one-offs -- but I was wrong. There was absolutely no exterior damage or sign of impact on the shipping box, and this kind of damage could not have happened inside the box even with exterior signs of damage. The impact that caused this piece of steel to bend could only have been caused by dropping to the floor -- possibly as it came off the powder coat line -- and was severe enough to chip off the powder coat paint before the item was bubblewrapped because there were no paint chips in the wrap. This is an example, pure and simple, of employees who don't give a d**n about their jobs or the products they make . . . and in my 50+ years of employment history across a wide range of employers (including mostly myself but also five+ years as a machine operator and set-up mechanic with a manufacturer of aluminum compressed gas cylinders in Riverside, CA from 1985-1990), it is a sure sign of employees who either (1) don't get paid much more than minimum wage or (2) don't stay with the employer for very long, or (3) both 1 and 2. Employees who have a vested interest in their employment -- through retirement plans, profit sharing, above-average wages -- don't treat their work product carelessly like this even with labor union protection. I might expect this kind of shoddy craftsmanship from some Chinese outfit whose workers know their products are not going to be returned, but Griffin prides itself on being an American company from Texas. I'm not returning this item because I'm using it to hold four lightweght LED Par lamps suspended from the ceiling of my small church, and the combination of black Sharpie touch-up coloring and the fact that the damaged corner will be 10'-12' off the ground and facing the ceiling means it won't be noticeable and mitigates the situation. In all other respects, the truss will do what I need it to do. However, I sincerely hope Griffin management sees this review, because the statement found in several places on its website: "A great amount of care is put into the production of each Griffin™ product with a serious quality control system." does not apply to the truss section I -- and others -- have received. No self-respecting QC person could pass this item on to the shipping department -- it should have been sent to the rework department or scrapped if the cost of knocking off the end plate, sandblasting the powder coat off, and repainting is too high to support the $77.95 selling price and free shipping.
BRAND NEW 1st generation Apple Pencil
16 May 2022
Nice and new
The only reliable tool for use with an iPad is the Apple Pencil. I have tried cheap items that claim compatibility but the only thing I can get them to do is tap my PIN to open the tablet. Genuine Apple Pencils are not cheap and you should buy one of the silicone sleeves that will tether the cap that protects the charging tip. I recently purchased one that has six sides . . . like a regular pencil . . . and find that the feel and preventing the pencil from rolling off the table/desk top are both big pluses (not to mention the inability to lose the magnetic cap while charging the pencil.
COLE & MASON Morley Wood Crank Salt and Pepper Grinder 2 pc. Set - Wooden Mills
04 November 2020
Best grinders for persons with physical limitations, grip strength challenges
Great grinders especially for persons with limited grip strength or similar physical limitations. The secret is the fact that the whole top turns, not simply the handle. This provides greater leverage and requires less effort to grind pepper or salt. The wood base of the grinders is easy to grip and large, and its tapered shape makes it more ergonomic to hold in one's hand -- either above the food you are seasoning or when resting on a plate/bowl to grind and collect the salt or pepper shavings. Excellent grinding mechanisms are easy to adjust from coarse to fine grindings. Tops remain securely in place while grinding, yet come off easily without having to remove any screws in order to refill the hopper. Not as many of these Morley grinders for sale, so get them when you can.
