I've been sewing for over 50 years. I believe that quality and durability are essential in my work. Making custom items is a favorite task. I've made clothing, household items, toys, costumes for people and horses, dog collars and coats, purses, and black powder bags. During WWII, my great grandmother made and packed parachutes without a single one ever failing and she also sewed the first US space suits, and she passed her skills down to me.

13W UV Sterilizer Clarifier Pond Koi Aquarium Fish Tank Filter+ replacement bulb

This thing works FAST! I love it!

I spent a good bit of time comparing the different UV units, and prices, available before choosing this one and I couldn't be happier with it. The body of the unit is good and solid, the hose connectors fit tight, and the little green light on the end is bright enough to indicate at a glance that all is working well. At only 40% of the price in a major chain store, it was an awesome bargain. It even came with a spare bulb, saving me another ten bucks! I installed this UV unit easily in just a few minutes with no tools needed except to cut the hose. Once installed, that's it. Just plug it in and leave it on for the season. No more having to remember periodic water treatments and/or changes. I would recommend this to anyone without hesitation, for sure. My goldfish pond is about 5' diameter and just over 2' at the deepest -about half the size the unit is rated for- with live water lily, mini cattails and a pretty, floating plant that flowers. The pond is fairly new and the algae took over fast in spite of chemical treatment, which could also kill the live plants. The water was so green you couldn't see below the surface. I expected to wait a week after installation before I saw improvement. Was I ever surprised! On day two, I could see almost a foot below the surface. This is the third day and the green is nearly gone. The water is clearing rapidly. The goldfish are now clearly visible in the upper half of the water and appear much happier. And two frogs have just moved in, much to the grandkids' delight. This unit is installed in-line between the pump/filter and the waterfall. It's the sterilizer only and does require a separate pump. A filter is definitely recommended for best results.

Very effective!

This stuff works exactly the way it says on the label! I have tried several other brands including Pet Armor and none works this well. The scratching stopped a couple days after application. Two weeks after treatment now, and their skin looks healthy and the hair is growing back. My older dog's flea allergy symptoms are gone. No more allergy medicine needed. In my area, fleas are a year-round issue since winters aren't cold enough to stop them. Any fleas the dogs might have picked up outside haven't lived long enough to be a problem. Any new fleas hatched indoors don't live long enough to grow. I'm definitely buying more, and I've already ordered some PetLock for the cats.
