Celestron SkyPortal WiFi Adapter for Remote Telescope Control # 93973
    28 March 2017
Mind blowing how much this adds to my telescope
I use this on my Celestron 8SE to connect to my iPad running the celestron software. Once you teach yourself the alignment and use of the telescope with a remote device and this adapter it is amazing. Had it for a year or so now and it has been working perfect.
    US! 100KHz-1.7GHz Full Band U/VHF RTL-SDR USB Tuner Receiver/ R820T + 8232 Radio

Works great but you need to like figuring tech projects out.
I got it going on for VHF use a mac right away with the Gqrx software. Follow the instructions with the Gqrx software and don't miss a step. I wanted it more for HF shortwave listening so when it only tuned down to 24mhz I had knew I had more research to do. And that was a simple fix also, you need to have the following text in the "device string" in the Gqrz software: rtl=0,direct_samp=2 If you use it for both VHF and HF use you need to save the setups for each "device string" also easy to do in the Gqrx software. I should add, you need decent antennas, especially for HF listening, or you will not get anywhere with the project. All in all this is a fun project and I am real happy with this device so far.

Garmin GPSMAP 64st Topo US 100K GPS Handheld Receiver

Good GPS for Dual Sport Motorcycle Riders
I use it for Dual Sport motorcycle riding. You can download a track from several popular .GPX file exchange websites and use this GPS to follow some very fun routes! I ride an XR 650L and this fits well on the crossbar with a bicycle mount. Of course you can create and upload your routes with this GPS also. Big enough to see the display well, small enough to work on a motorcycle. And unlike a smartphone, this is weatherproof, is easy to see in sunlight, and because it has buttons you can use it with gloves on. Good topo maps on the GPS too, but doesn't really do turn by turn type navigation for street bike / highway riding as far as I can tell if that is what you are looking for.
