Not at their best! I can understand why Jeff Lynne put the whole ELO project on an extended hiatus.

A Treasure Trove of Entertainment!
"Rumpole of the Bailey" is one of the 'top five' series on my list of great television series! I love all the characters and all the stories! The late Leo McKern was born to the play the part of Horace Rumpole! The late Sir John Mortimer stated that he wanted Alistair Sim to play the part 'but he was already dead'! I'm sure I would have enjoyed Sim in that part as I absolutely loved him as Scrooge (and in other roles), but we are left with McKern and he was wonderful!
