Select to the right reed strength for you
Rico Royale is one of the most popular read brands for woodwind instruments. 1.5 Reed strength is the softest reed, which makes it very easy to play. It’s good for beginners annd anyone having trouble crossing the break. The downside is your clarinet sounds like a cheap toy.-very loud, shallow and bright, and more likely to squawk. The higher the strength, the more dark, warm and beautiful the sound is, but it’s harder to blow and requires more air and a stronger mouth

Reliable and gets the job done.
1 of 2 found this helpful It is reliable and relatively in tune. It gets the job done. Up till about advanced high school level.
A higher end model will play even easier, and better in tune, and have a more beautiful sound . But of course one would have to pay at least twice as much.
