N-gage game deck review
4 of 4 found this helpful I purchased this item because of my hobby: playing around with electronic stuff. The N-Gage was a poorly planned project from Nokia meant to compete in both the handheld gaming market and the cell phone market. What resulted was a machine that did not do either one of these particularly well.
phone: bulky size and odd shape, clumsy interface.
gaming system: games and screen not comparable to competitors products.
I bought the device because it did have some unique functions and there are a few games that actually are somewhat ok. Another aspect of this piece of hardware that appealed to me was it's ability to be hacked and use homebrew software. For me, it's the challenge of getting things to work on a limited platform that really push it's capabilities.
