Nice Sound, shame about the liner notes - 2006 remaster " Beginning of the Enz"
My review is regarding the 2006 cd remaster of the 1979 compilation " Beginning of the Enz" originally released in Australia / New Zealand by Mushroom records and re-released by Warner music in 2006. This compilation covers recordings made in New Zealand in 1973-74 and released 73-75 in New Zealand only. It covers their 1st 3 X New Zealand 45s A & B sides plus 3 additional tracks all recorded before they signed with Mushroom in 1975. The remastering by Eddie Rayner and Don Bartley sounds clear and clean. I've given it 3 stars as other than a brief reminisce by Neil Finn and song lyrics, there is no information whatsoever on when/where the songs were recorded and released and who played on them . For an archival release with a 14 page booklet, there is a lot of blank space including 1 blank page. Fortunately, Wikipedia has an informative entry on the album. If you love Phil Judd era Split Enz, then you will love the music, why I gave it 3 stars is for the packaging. The music is definitely five stars. I paid 25 Australian dollars second hand which was ok as some Split Enz cds are going for silly money on eBay as their original albums are mainly out of print courtesy of Warner's music, they own the Australian Mushroom / Festival and haven't done a great job with re-releases from that catologue. Hope this review helps You.

A space in time - Ten Years After 1971 album(USA pressed 80s cd
Great Song craft on this album, chilled Alvin Lee tunes, A must have for Ten Years after - this is the 2nd (mid?) 80s USA pressed cd I've bought of TYA - great sound as is my Cricklewood Green cd.

Ten years after - Watt - 2017 remaster digipak
This Ten Years After Album (Watt - 2017 remaster) are in the same feel and class as their 2 previous album's Sssh and Cricklewood Green, bluesy songs well crafted written in a stoned frame of mind, great guitar and production, nice warm clear remaster and nice digipak reproduction of original artwork - definitely one for TYA fans.
