Happy so far
For a cheap regulator it worked very well. Got to & maintained 14.4 volts charge on a 50AH agm battery off a 160watt solar panel for an entire week in both full sun & cloudy conditions. Will see how it goes long term.

Honest & full
4 of 4 found this helpful Ok - like all cheap gen sets - didn’t expect miracles- but was happy enough with operation. Overall appearance & fitting of panels - better then expected - looked a tidy unit. Decals - not brilliant - had to write on plastic with Nikko pen as decals look like they will flake off in time - choke decal wrong way round (choke on is off/cold start is run). Performance - doesn’t like heating coils - electric jug & high setting small heater produce overload shutdown - this may improve as motor is “run in” overtime. Ran Heron 2.0 caravan aircon until fuel ran out(this is what I bought it to run) - appears to use the listed 1 ltr an hour under load. Also ran 1500w hand saw & 650w drill at same time without issue. Bit of a “burnt plastic” smell after running for nearly 3 hours - but again - I think this is a “running in” issue & will disappear in time. Unit weight as stated appears about right. Spark plug easy to get to compared to some. Noise level actually pretty good - had gen set virtually next to front of van & it wasn’t annoyingly noisy even running aircon. Mate nearby said it sounded pretty good - both level & engine consistency wise. Little tool kit has what is needed to maintain unit (except oil of course). Side panel easy to remove & bits inside easy to access for further maintenance. Like the fuel filter accessible as it is. My only real criticism is that it’s an auto eco throttle - I would like the option of being able to switch from eco to full throttle & I think that would fix issue with heating elements like kettle & Heater. Overall happy at present - run smoothly. Will be interested to see it’s longevity over time. Would recommend but don’t expect it to be a Yammy or a Honda - it’s not. Cheers.

Nice little gen set
Bought to run basic lights & charge batteries & - as a smaller unit - easier to carry in back of duel cab. Run in over 5 hrs - easy to fill & change oil (done 3 times) - handled 600w lights in last 2 hrs of running in no issue. Noise mtr showed consistent 57dec at 7 mtr - no load - yet to test in great outdoors, but it's a quiet unit even compared to some of the more expensive units (yamie 1000 & Honda 2000) - starts easy enough - time will tell as to longevity. Value for the $$. Appears solid & well finished unit. Ran for a bit over 5 hours on 1 tank - not empty yet - but nite came & even though its quiet - I do live in town on small block.
