All good now
The tops don't quite fit, some are not possible to close on all four sides.
They all can be closed on two sides and just that makes a tight fit.
The glass is sturdy, the design is great, sizes are good, lids are annoying. The square container lids sometimes fit if the lid is turned 90 degrees, but the rectangle shapes are out of luck when the lid does not fit.
addendum: I contacted the mfg. The problem with closing the lids is that the gasket has unseated through washing or handling. I took a spoon and pressed down the gasket on the offending lids. Now they work like a charm. I actually bought another set.
