Flexible deep massage
This is a really wonderful tool. It's helped my back problem a lot and there's a lot of flexibility in it. The soothe, revitalize and unwind functions all go through a few different types of massage. You can't adjust the intensity but you can adjust the height of the shoulder/neck massage section. If I'm on a couch, that section at the highest height hits me in the neck. If I'm in a chair it hits me in the shoulder region. There isn't a separate switch for heat, but with the rolling massage function you can adjust the width, and with other functions you can focus on certain spots in the back.

Not really a sponge
This is more of a sandpaper block than a sponge. It's well made and firm, with edges all around like sandpaper. It would be good for something that needs a light sanding, but it isn't absorbent like a sponge even though the inside of it gives a bit.
