This 10-core screened cable is good value. Mutli-core cables tend to be expensive
The cable is 100m of 10-core screened cable (one screen for the whole cable, with all 10 wires inside the screen). Each wire is coloured. A comparable product from anywhere else would cost a lot more. This particular cable is a bargain. It is suitable for carrying low currents (such as signals) but is not suitable for carrying power.

Noisy fan spoils otherwise good PSU
0 of 1 found this helpful This power supply is described as an upgrade to the previous ACER Aspire TC-220 power supply.
It arrived from the USA with the voltage set correctly to 220V, and with an IEC mains cable terminated with an EU plug instead of a UK plug. A slight nuisance only, since these cables are easy to buy. I wired it up as the old PSU was wired, and the PC started up fine.
The original power supply was very quiet - you did not know it was on. This replacement has a PSU fan running at full speed all the time, making a loud singing sound. It is not at all what I was expecting, and I would not recommend a power supply that sounds like this

Low cost, but with a couple of operational issues
The compass is cheap - and it shows. It is fine - it show where North is, and is nicely damped by the oil. However, there are a couple of issues. One is that the magnetised disk is balanced on a small pin, so it will not move freely unless the compass is held exactly level. That takes a bit of practice to get right. The other is that the lens you can look through to get a magnified view of the heading and the sight line is so badly made as to useless. If you want a compass without these problems, I expect you need to pay more - this is a very low cost item. Even with these problems, I have found it useful.
