Wow a phone that is still a phone.
Good back to basics phone - no camera or music player to detract from performance. If you want pics and music buy an Ipod / MD or digital camera. Pros: Nice extra features. Easily the best battery life and reception of any phone I have owned. Clear straightforward display. Antenna still effective somewhat when retracted. Extensive manual. Cons: Blocky, heavy, and generic looking. Menu tiresome to navigate. Limited call info. Backlight won't stay on more than a few seconds. Hard to put your ear at the right place to hear clearly - there's no cup or provision for it. Bottom line: it's well short of the perfect phone, but much better than all of the current flips / multitaskers in phone performance. I would vote it a 3.5 but there is no option for that...so I will round it up to 4 rather than down.

Older design which has CD slots which prevent virtually anything else from being stowed unless very small. Trim ring is flimsy and at least one tab will probably break upon installation.
