A story for those who might forget the Viet Nam War
Matterhorn not only spins a fictional experience of a Marine unit in Viet Nam, but puts you right in the middle of everything that they are going through in a very personal way. Karl Marlantes is a very exceptional writer who seems to have based the story on his own experiences and knowledge. This is a story to keep and re-read from time to time just to keep in mind both the horror of the war they fought, and the relationships they built within their fighting units.

W,E,B. Griffen books are well done, along with the rest of his early books.
I have read these three books before, and wanted to re-read them again. Getting these three books in one package has been super. I will be looking for 5-6-7-8 in the near future.
